GLISSANDO

Boulder, CO | 2012

A study in continuity and contrast, Glissando translates principles of fine furniture into a refined cycling object. A continuous, arcing bamboo frame defines the form—its tensile strength and natural vibration damping paired with precision-machined titanium joints that anchor and articulate the structure.

The composition expresses a seamless transition between materials, where warmth meets precision, and craft meets engineering. Hand-built in collaboration with local artisans, each connection is both structural and tactile, revealing the process as much as the product. Awarded Best Alternative Materials Bicycle at the North American Handmade Bicycle Show, Glissando embodies performance through material intelligence and quiet formal clarity.
